This position is located at Snowblind Studios, based in Bothell, WA which has easy access to Seattle and the east side communities of Lake Washington. Snowblind Studios is the award winning game studio, founded in 1997, that brought you critically acclaimed games like Baulder’s Gate: Dark Alliance and the Champions of Norrath series. The teams are very collaborative, hard working and highly motivated working on ground breaking games and projects.

In 2009, Snowblind Studios was acquired by Time Warner, through its Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment division and currently employs over 80 people developing projects on next-generation platforms. You must have a deep passion for games and love making them. You need to be highly motivated, thorough, self directed, able to manage time intelligently, and rebuild and polish your work until it is perfect.

We are currently looking for a talented, motivated senior environment artist for an exciting new fantasy action RPG.

Responsibilities:

To create great looking original next-gen game art including architecture, landscapes, and landmark props

Collaborate and communicate with designers, producers, and other artists to create and implement interactive environments

Mentor junior artists by giving good feedback on their work and encouraging them to develop their skills

Contribute to the success of the art team and the project in meeting the high quality bar set by the Art Director and Lead Artists

Requirements:

5+ years console, PC or online gaming industry experience, including at least two published games

Solid understanding of an industry standard 3D package (3D Studio Max is preferred, but Maya and XSI are acceptable.)

Proficiency with Photoshop and/or Painter

Strong understanding of shaders

Solid organization skills with adherence to file structures, naming conventions and other established protocols.

Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and follow through on details

Strong traditional art skills a bonus

Lead experience a plus
