Regency Newcastle, one of the Eastside’s premier Retirement and Assisted Living Community’s is currently accepting applications for a Lead Waiter/ Dining Room Server for our Restaurant. This is a 12 PM to 8 PM position. Must have experience and understand all aspects of dining room etiquette and restaurant decorum. We need your skills and experience to both direct less experienced waitstaff, as well as to lead by example.
Ideal candidates will be dependable, have reliable transportation, and take the job and schedule seriously. Must be capable of setting the bar of excellence for other staff. You must also possess strong interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude. Must have good command of the English language as you will be working directly with Residents. Previous experience working in an Kitchen or Restaurant atmosphere is a must have - and prior work in an Assisted Living/Retirement Community is a plus.

Job will include, but will not be limited to the following:
1. All tasks related to Food Service Table Waiting: wait tables, set up and clear dining resident tables .
2. Operate a commercial dish washer.
3. Be able to work quickly and autonomously at times, team leader at other times.
4. Pass a Criminal Background check as required by the State of Washington .
5. Represents Regency Newcastle in a positive and friendly manner at all times.
6. Complies with all policies and procedures set forth by the Regency Newcastle Employee Handbook.
7. Able to lift up to 40 + lbs, Stand for long periods of times, and repetitive bending at the waist.
Licenses: Food Handlers Permit with in 5 days of employment. Also you need to be a Team Player and Leader.
A background in working with Seniors is helpful.
