PC hardware division’s audio lab is looking for a vendor engineer to assist in audio development and testing. This includes managing day to day activities in an audio lab, executing audio tests, evaluations, and doing audio technology investigations. Must have designed and tested audio speakers or microphones, as well as write test scripts for audio testing, evaluate microphones at an engineer level, and characterize frequency response.
*Candidate must have technical degree (audio preferred) and demonstrated history of audio engineering, terminology and development. Must know acoustics testing techniques for speakers and microphones
*The candidate must be self motivated and be able to work with minimal direction and own and drive things to conclusion. Must be able to document ideas and procedures and present to team.
*Candidate must be proficient in writing code or scripting. Matlab preferred.
This position is open immediately and will continue through June 2010. Possibility for extending farther depending on business needs.
