Speak Italian and/or French? (Anywhere.........)

I am going to Italy and France this summer and I have some dietary restrictions. I need to make up a little card with the items written on it that I cannot eat so that when I go out to eat I can give it to my waiter. I know must Europeans speak English but I don't want to just assume, and I also don't want to accidentally get something in my food I can't eat due to any kind of language barrier. Can you help me out with any of these words that you know in either Italian or French? Thanks in advance!
