This is a 1991 BMW M5. One of only a thousand e34 M5's imported to the united states. The last real, hand made, German engineered M5. This is probably the fastest car you can buy for the money. It's built to cruise at high speeds and coincidentally enough that's why I have to sell it. It seems I can't control my lead foot.
I've put some money into repairing a lot of the minor things that were wrong with the car as well as replacing the chain tensioner. One of the parts it can be expensive to replace if not properly diagnosed (one shop tried to charge me $3000!). I've got all the records for the repairs.
The car does have about 230k miles on it but the engine runs great. I had it checked out by a professional mechanic when I bought it last summer and he said the engine was in great condition for it's age. It's on the cheap end of M5's because since then a scraping noise has developed that comes from the transmission area when you let off the gas in third gear. Also if you fill up the coolant to the top then it will overflow. Right now I keep the coolant right below the cold line and haven't had any issues. The air conditioner didn't work so I've removed it planning on fixing it but never got around to it, easy to drop it by a mechanic and get it fixed and installed. If you've got any questions feel free to call. I've seen other E34 M5s go for a lot more money. I don't think I'm asking a lot for this awesome car.
