Each book sells for $40 new at Barnes & Noble. I bought these books to help me gain the skills needed to add to my resume. Boy did it work out great! It didn't take me very long since each CD has an easy search feature so I skipped to the stuff I needed to learn. I use all the skills I learned in my new job. I took very good care of them. Each book has it's own cd, which is great because I needed something that would give me hands on learning.

I just got my U.S. citizenship, so I am no longer in need of these two books. They are the most recent edition (17th edition) and were both very helpful to in successfully passing my citizenship interview and application. There is some writing in both books, but not much. I $80 combined for both books. They are both important to review if you want to get your U.S. Citizenship. Get it for only 1/4 of the original price.

There are books on Greece, the Human Body, Ancient History, Asteroids, Animals, Endangered species, Hearing, Digestive System, Napoleon, space, trees, the sea, weather, etc. This lot is geared towards young adults. They are in great shape, no rips, tears or writing in these. I took good care of them. Most were bought at the UW Book Store, others at the Pacific Science Center, and other bookstores.

Vintage Collectable Playboy Magazines 1957 thru 1984 plus! (Bellevue/Issaquah/Seattle)

Collection of 314 collectable Playboy Magazines from the years 1957 thru 1984 plus another 7 issues are available for a Collector’s acquisition. This 314 Playboy Magazines collection has been stored away in boxes all these years in non-smoking and pet-free house home environment and have not seen daylight since my Playboy subscription ran out in the 1980’s.

These 314 collectable Playboy magazines have been read and handled once or twice over a period of time; but with care in an attempt to preserve it in collectable condition. Some of the covers will show some “wear” or handing indications, but are still intact. There are the tell-tale signs of use but none greatly outstanding. There are no MAJOR tears or peels, no taping, and the copy is basically clean inside and out. This might include such things as normal handling which results loss of luster or slightly faded covers or some evidence of dog-eared edges on the cover or some pages, a slight tear, creasing or chafing here and there, and especially along the spine; a some thumbing dimples on the cover or centerfold and other surfaces from handling, storage, etc.

Playboy Magazine Grading Criteria in this collection:

6 ~ MINT - The magazine is in near perfect quality condition today as it was the day it went on sale. It must be new, with its original gloss and luster, with absolutely NO signs of ever having been read. There is NO issue in this collection that warrants this grading.

5 ~ NEAR MINT (NRMT) to VERY FINE (VF) - An almost perfect copy to very collectable. The magazine is in exceptional condition but may have minor signs of use ~ few small nicks, corner dings, and other small defects, due to careless handling. This could also include some small thumbing dimples on the cover/centerfold. This is the highest grades [range of 5.9 thru 5.0] that are given to any magazine in this collection.

4 ~ FINE (F) to VERY GOOD (VG) - These collectable magazines are in tact with little or minimum defects. Edges are clean, the cover and pages have minor tears. Staples are secure. Noticeable, though minor defects, such as loss of luster, areas of rubbing, a single vertical crease from "fold back" of a portion of the cover, a chipped or peeled spot, a small tear on cover or an inside page, or minor chafing along the spine and thumbing dimples on the cover and/or centerfold that may have loosen from a staple. Issues with a grading range of 4.9 thru 4.0 are in this collection.

3 ~ GOOD (G) to VERY FAIR – These copies have been read over a period of time, but with care in an attempt to preserve it in collectable condition. Some of the covers show definite wear, but is still intact. There are the tell-tale signs of use but none greatly outstanding. There are no MAJOR tears or peels, no taping, and the copy is basically clean inside and out. This might include such things as: a thumbing dimple on the cover/centerfold, small pen markings on the cover, and small surface scratches and dings or the centerfold has separate from staples. Issues with a grading range of 3.9 thru 3.0 are in this collection

2 & 1 ~ FAIR to POOR - An ordinarily read copy with no consideration to collecting. It received normal handling resulting in considerable loss of luster; faded covers or considerable rubbing; dog-eared edges on cover and some pages; a slight tear, creasing or chafing here and there, and especially along the spine; quite a few thumbing dimples on cover and other surface damages from handling, storage, etc. Issues with a grading range of 2.9 thru 0.9 are in this collection; HOWEVER, they are FREE to the purchaser to collection! Don’t consider these issues as COLLECTIBLE, only issue fillers!

With December 1953 being the very first -1st issue of Playboy, the 1957 issues in this collection are a portion of the fourth volume of Playboy Magazines issues. The earliest collectable issues in these 314 magazine collections are March 1957 and May 1957 which happen to be premium collectable copies [see images]. The following year list indicates the collectable issues of Playboy magazines available and total $ price for ALL the listed issues in that year’s collection. Images for any of the specific issues will be forward upon request.
I have HUNDREDS of Accelerated Reader/ High Interest books Pre School, Kindergarten Kng, First 1st, Second 2nd, Third 3rd, Fourth 4th, Fifth 5th, and Sixth 6th grade levels (plus a few that are for older kids) - a nice range for the teacher to help meet the needs of more of your diverse students & reading levels or for the home school if you are homeschooling. Quality literature & favorite books for your classroom or home. These books are in good to excellent condition. Some may have names inside the cover, minor creasing and/or.light shelfwear. There are some hardcovers but mostly paperbacks. Come see for yourself! Or if you send me your phone number I can call you and read some of the titles to you. We live in Fall City. My husband works in Renton and Everett so if you buy a lot, meeting for a pick-up should be easy.
At a $1 each you are getting a GREAT DEAL!

The Accelerated Reading program is a computerized comprehension program some schools use. These books can be used with or without the program. Even if you aren’t using the program, it’s nice to know the reading level of the books you are using with children. For an explanation of accelerated readers go to:
http://www.readingonline.org/critical/topping/rolarD.html This is a collection of great literature.
