Job Overview: This position reports to Concur’s Corporate Accounting Manager. Major areas of responsibilities include: Preparing journal entries, analyzing financial statements, and maintaining internal controls. Participation in month end close and quarterly audits. This includes providing accurate and timely accounting, month/quarter/year-end close procedures, preparation of monthly reports, and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures. The role will work with the accounting, finance, internal audit and tax organizations both domestically and globally. The position will also participate in systems integration and ad-hoc projects as required.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Support month end close process, which includes preparation of journal entries for fixed assets, payroll, travel and entertainment expenses, prepaid assets and accruals
- Preparation of account analysis reports and account reconciliations.
- Analysis of all owned balance sheet and income statement accounts both domestically and internationally as well as working with our international operations to analyze monthly variances in activity.
- Prepare account reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Drive automation of manual processes and identify/implement best practices.
- Drive process improvements including working with business partners and other departments
- Maintain control environment and ensure SOX compliance.
- Work with accounts payable team to ensure correct coding.
- Participate in financial system testing for bug fixes, enhancements and releases of new functional design.
- Work with teams to implement new systems.
- Support audit requirements on a quarterly and annual basis
- Assist team in managing group work-load and support team projects
- Maintain chart of accounts

Position Requirements:Education, Experience & Training required:
- BA/BS in Accounting
- CPA a plus, with 1+ years public accounting experience with a large national firm, including publicly-held clients.
- 3+ years hands-on industry experience with a monthly close and consolidation process in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting requirements, including preparation of financial statements
- Experience with consolidations and foreign exchange rules a plus
- Experience finance / accounting modules of “first tier” ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, etc., a plus. Oracle Financials experience ideal.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally across the finance organization.
- Strong analytical ability
- Well developed oral and written communication ability.
- Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass a background check
