Verathon® - Staff Accountant / Payroll Specialist

Verathon Inc. is looking for a Staff Accountant / Payroll Specialist to become the newest member of the Accounting Team located in our Bothell, WA headquarters. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties and responsibilities including payroll, commissions, fixed asset processing and account analysis.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update Paychex payroll system and related employee files
• Payroll processing and related general ledger account reconciliations
• COGS Variance Analysis
• 401K compliance
• Responsible for commission calculations and related journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset system and generate fixed asset monthly reports
• Perform fixed asset audits on a regular basis
• Provide assistance in other areas of accounting as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar
• Two to four years experience in accounting
• Familiarity with accounting processes and operations
• Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
• Proven attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of Excel and automated accounting programs
