it seems my Harman Kardon receiver partially died.
The hdmi output does not work anymore (actually it seems all video output don't work anymore), but the sound through jacks and component still works just fine.

I am technical savy, but not enough to actually fix the hardware of this one.

UNFORTUNATELY I have little to no idea what I'm doing and the reading I do seems to confuse me more (everything seems to be written for the developer and not the PM).

I need as close to a pro as possible to give me an idea on how to do it correctly. I won't be asking you to do it for me, but enough understanding that when I read about the process more I can at least follow along.
