I recently purchased Photoshop Elements 10 - I have it installed and I have played with it a bit, watched the tutorials and even purchased "Photoshop Elements 10 The Missing Manual".. and I'm still confused lol I have trouble learning out of a book and do much better in a hand's on environment. I really need someone to sit with me and help me understand the "elements' of this program. Photography is just a hobby for me but I love it and I take bazillions of pictures of my husband's bands, my grandson and family. I would really like to learn how to us this program. I don't want you to re-invent the program, but rather to simply provide access to the utility that's already on the web host, via iPhone web formatting and CGI wizardry.

I'm a small business owner and I'm looking for someone local to setup a home IP PBX system for me. I'm planning to eventually switch my office over to IP phones. But before doing that I want to use them at home first to become familiar with them.
I'm told that the setup for these is very simple. Perhaps, but I don't really have the time to learn it as my expertise is in other areas. I know a bit more than the average layperson business owner about networking and hardware. But that's simply in self-defense developed over the years living on the edge of civilization practically "out in the boonies".
Here's my hardware: Cisco SRP 541W router, static broadband connection, Elastix box 2.2.0 (quad processor CPU, 400 GB HD, 2 GB RAM), and 2 polycom 560 phones.
Definitely I want IVR, paging intercom, hylafax, and fail2ban configured. It would also be nice to have the /var/log/secure and /var/log/audit/audit.log emailed to me to regular intervals.
Please write back with something/anything that let's me know that I'm dealing with a real human on the other end and not a spam answerbot. In fact, I left out a something regarding the details that you should easily notice. Such is the nature of posting employment gigs on Craigslist -- 10% diamonds and 90% rough.

Loud sound on external mac audio

About a year ago I noticed my mac audio wasn't working internally, only when connected to external speakers. A few months ago I had someone look at it. He poked around the speaker jack with a toothpick, and eventually got the piece moved inside of there that wasn't allowing the audio to stay inside the mac.

So now the audio plays fine internally. But, when connected to external speakers, there are random times when there is a loud sound (like someone falling over on a set of drums). I have only noticed this at church when connected to the mixer and sound system. It has never happened during a church service. It seems to only have happened when the mac is not in use. And it never happened before I had the guy fix the issue mentioned above.

So, do you know what the cause of this is and how to fix it?
