The SV Oyster,

Built in 1956 by the famous Hartge Yacht Yard out of Annapolis Maryland for cruising the Chesapeake Bay. She was built as the Quadrant class sail boat from the yard and about 15 of them were built from the early 50's into the early 60's. To this day she is only one of three left known to be in existence. She is a herring bone dead rise construction. Dimensions are 25'6” x 8'6” x 3'9” Planking is 7/8” cedar on the bottom and Mahogany on the topsides. Decks are ฝ” marine ply and the raised cabin is all Alaska yellow cedar. She is a true classic in every since of the word and in Bristol condition.

She is a wonderful cruiser for two, enough storage space for everything you need to cruise for extended periods, she is not just a day sailor, the room below is mind boggling for a 26' boat. Most people that board her think she is a 30 footer there is so much room below. Her clear decks and large cockpit take her away from the realm of feeling like a little boat. She is heavy enough to not bob like a cork in waves and trims out to sail hands off the tiller.

If your looking for a true classic, with a wonderful history, (I just went back east to meet the 93 year old Gentleman, Laurence Hartge, builder of the boat, and to tour the yard that has been in business since 65, that's 1865, a year after our American Civil War.) So the family history adds to the flavor of this classic sail boat. She is a must see to appreciate her accommodations as well as her condition! Think your interested....Lets talk!

General info, The whole inside of the hull is assessable through lift out panels in the storage areas. There is so much storage space in this boat it will blow you away, it was intended for cruising. At one time there was a steering station in the cabin, I love that idea when your just motoring and the weather is bad.to be in the cabin, Still have all the stuff to put it back, but was coming up with a different plan from the way it was before. We have our eye on a 40' Sundancer Sunbridge, but will not offer until we sell our current boat. Covered, prime moorage can be negotiated, as the boat we have our eye on, already has moorage.

I bought this 89 Kawasaki 550 Jetski 3 years ago. I have not put it in the lake in 2 years (just been too busy working). It is all white, pink bar and lower bracket. Starts every time, primer and all. It has 2 small cracks in the fiberglass on the right side, but does not leak water. It is equipped with a bilge pump, and needs a fire extinguisher. It also has a Westcoast Ride Plate, which was on it when I bought it. I don't have a trailer, so bring a trailer or a truck when you pick it up. It has been sitting for the past year collecting dust! Someone needs to enjoy this!
