Merlin is very respected US frame maker, and their speciality is titanium. this is a great machine, handles great, suited for all day, all mountain riding. this isnt a throw away carbon frame, this is a masterpiece, itll be a great bike for years and thousands of miles. this bike is a no compromise xc bike, inclined to racing but still rock solid reliable.

2006 Fox 40 RC2 in good shape. Works perfectly, oil and seals were done at the end of last season. I am selling because I just got a Demo 7 with a Totem on it. Fork has no decals on it, but I have a full set if you want them. The fork has a stiffer spring installed than it came with, but I will include the original Ti spring as well. Steerer tube is about 8.5 inches.

Up for grabs is a new Easton Ascent II wheelset. These wheels came on my race bike, but have only been ridden a handful of times as I upgraded to different wheels for the bike. This wheelset is over 100 grams lighter than the lightest Ksyrium set available. The wheels feature Velomax R3 straight-pull hubs with ovalized spokes. If you want to make one upgrade to your bike this is it. Wheels are true and have zero brake wear. I will include a new set of Specialized Pro Roubaix tires ($100 value), tubes and the velomax skewers so that the wheels are good to go. The freehub is Shimano 8,9,10 speed/SRAM compatible and can be converted to Campagnolo 9/10 speed if you wish.

The only other issue is that the shifter dials don't work properly, but the bike has no issues shifting. Other than that, the bike works smoothly. This bike is in mechanically sound just had a turn up for the season, it always been very well taken care of. Everything works as intended and it shifts like a dream. The bike is mostly stock with Hayes 9 disk brakes 8� rotors that stop on a dime with a lot of pad life left, Shimano Deore XT drive train, Manitou Stance Forks with 8� travel up front (really nice and can soak up pretty much anything), and a Fox Vanilla in the rear that is adjustable from 6.8-8.1 inches (this is due to the frame design of the Big Hit), Truvativ Hussefelt Crank the is rock solid.

I bought the bike a while back and decided I like to do a little more cross country style of riding. The most aggressive riding its seen is down a small flight of stairs. That being said the bike was never used to its full potential and has so much more to offer to the right rider. I�d rather see the bike sold and being used than sitting the garage so make a reasonable offer and the bikes yours.

'05 Bianchi Axis Cyclocross (commuter?), 55cm (West Seattle) $625

Purchased new in June 2006 from Montlake Bike Shop. An �05 is a much better bike than the later models where Bianchi kept the price about the same, but downgraded the components. This bike has XT rear and 105 front derailleurs, 105 shifter/brake levers. Later models have LX/Tiagra derailleurs and Tiagra shifter/brake levers.
Here are the specs from Bianchi:
http://www.bianchiusa.com/05_axis.html. This bike has been used mainly for a road bike has never been run off road. Since July of �07 it has been lightly used as my �errand bike� as I bought a true road bike. Fenders and racks are easy to mount.
The bike is completely stock with IRC MythosCX 35c tires (less than 100 miles on them). I also have a set of Continental GatorSkins (28c) that I�ll include with the bike. They have roughly 1,600 miles on them.
Issues/problems with the bike. The usual scuffs and scrapes from riding. When I bought the bike both brake levers were scuffed from a demo ride. Other than that, no major cosmetic issues. The handlebar is in need of new tape and the front brakes are squealing a bit. I�ve had a lot of enjoyment from the bike, did The Flying Wheels Century last year on it, but it has been replaced with something more suited to my purposes. MSRP was $1,399, I paid $1,325. The price is $625.00, cash only.

Schwinn built with basic parts that last.This was built back when the quality was very good and these shifters are indestructable indexed thumb shifters and this hardtail has super powerfull cantilever brakes.These first model shifters were soon replaced by shifters that fail and break.this cantilever brake design is far more powerful than the latest v brake design.this is a very fast bike.the framesize is 21 1/2 as measured from crankset center to center of top frame tube.it is 23 inches from seat post insertion area to crankset center.These Schwinns were built in inch sizes for the USA market.this bike has Alesa aluminum rims and a standover height of 31 1/2 inches.the top tube length is 24 inches center to center so there is alot of room for a comfortable riding position.has a Biopace crankset.this Schwinn rides and shifts excellent- 206-697-5286
